Pet Portrait Information サ

My custom pet portraits can be described as vivid, expressive and fun. Trixie the Italian Greyhound in Spoiled theme Because of this, they are often more whimsical then photographic or realistic, as you can see from my gallery of previous work.

However, this is the same reason why I believe my portraits are perfect for capturing, immortalizing, or honouring your faithful friend for generations. New or old, here or no longer living. It is my belief that if your pet is no longer with us, they should be remembered by the happy times, still smiling and spoiled as ever.

What makes each portrait unique are the silly stories I often hear about each pet, with their own individual personality. Some are fond of long walks in summer, others detest the outdoors and prefer nothing to do with it. Some love a particular food, others are finicky. I highly encourage you to share your pet's personality along with any inquiries. Stories, silly photos and anything else you can think of are welcomed. What are your favourite aspects about your pet?. His richly coloured eyes, or her cute button nose?. This helps me get a feel for your pet's overall composition, and greatly influences the outcome.

Mediums
All pet portraits are painted in acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, in assorted sizes. Although I am willing to work with you and try to accommodate any size you may have in mind, my typical and most common choices can be found under pet portrait pricing. The perks about gallery wrapped canvas is that it does not require framing or matting. Every canvas arrives prewired for instant display the moment you receive your portrait. The sides of each portrait are ス" to セ" inch thick, which are typically painted black in order to match any decor and bring out the artwork. As the Artist I retain all copy and reproduction rights to my work including commissions, although you will receive and own the original painting.

Completion
Turnaround time is typically 21 business days per portrait, depending on size and complexity. This figure excludes weekends, holidays and may have an additional wait depending on my other orders. I have a limited availability per month and may or may not have a waiting list ahead of you. My portraits are completed on a first come, first serve basis. Estimated completion dates do not include packaging, final preparation (such as varnishing the finished piece) or transit time once it is shipped.

Your Photographs
If you have photographs of your pets for reference you may send them in digitally by e-mail, or by snail mail (although digital is preferred). In order to provide the best portrait capable photos of your pet, please remember to send clear pictures in good lighting that accurately reflect your pet's colours. By submitting any photographs, you agreeing that if you are not the original photographer you have been given prior permission to let me use the photographs as a general reference for your pet portrait commission. All photographs will be returned within shipment of the completed portrait. If you are unsure whether your photographs would work, feel free to contact me for a free consultation.

Payment
I require a 50% non-refundable deposit when I accept your commission, due prior to beginning the portrait. Upon completion I will e-mail you a digital photograph or scan of the piece, where you will have the opportunity to suggest minor changes. Once changes are made, if any, I will invoice you with the remaining balance due and prepare your item for shipping. Shipping charges will be additional, typically $9-10 USD for USPS Insured Priority Mail. Please contact me for quotes regarding non-Continental US orders. Payment can be made by PayPal, which is the only method I accept at this time. Invoice and information will be sent to you at the time of your order. No personal checks are accepted.

I hope that covered everything. Feel free to ask any more questions by contacting me, including consultation. Remember - you have no obligation to order just for receiving additional information.
