About

It’s about time Kiba took over with his brand new blog!. Take a walk in the lifestyle of Corgidom, the daily escapades of Kiba the Pembroke Welsh Corgi — or affectionately nicknamed, Mr. Roo.

Who is that fluffy, orange and stylish pup behind the scenes?. Kiba is my absolute heartdog. His name comes from the Japanese word for “fang”, although somewhat ironic considering he’s nothing but a harmless, loving ball of fluff. My love for Pembroke Welsh Corgis spanned years until I finally had the chance to own one. He may not live up to standards as far as being a little mismarked on his right ear, but I always kid I happened to spill a little cream on it while fixing my coffee one morning.

Although he’s not the most active dog in the world, he’s a wonderful companion and has a tendency to enjoy the finer things in life. Permanently affixed to resting his head on the rollers of my office chair, he’s the official mascot of Kayann Works. You can even see his charming little mug plastered on my signature gift boxes.

To speak of his laziness doesn’t mean he has an equally boring personality though — he’s one big, waddling eccentric catastrophe. He’s picked up the habit of hoarding edibles in our ‘pretend half-studio’ and likes to test his limits by seeing how many milkbones he can fit into his mouth at once. He’s a very sweet, laid back kind of guy that’s pretty much unphased by anything. He’ll let you paint his nails pink, have him don a hat and stack random objects on his hiney (stuff-on-my-dog, anyone?) without a care.

By now, the furry love of my life is accustomed to all kinds and tastes in music. He has become the master sampler of foreign cuisine and is generally well behaved to my random eccentric outbursts. He has endured several hundred nicknames, various phrases in other languages and my slaughtering of his self-created themesong.

So grab a chair, take a seat and prepare for a daily dose of Corgi cuteness. :)
